Alan Khum is a Khmer-American fine artist from San Francisco who works in oil paint and watercolor. Before choosing painting as a concentration, he has practiced many forms of art expression including graphic design, graffiti, music production, and animation. Cats are used as prominent subjects in his work that represents people. Because of their ability to adapt to their environment and survival is second nature, cats have become important subjects because they share similar traits and relate to his life experiences while growing up.
