About Anna Luna
Anna Luna started drawing at a very young age after looking through her older sister’s college portfolio. From then on she studied painting, sculpture, and digital media. She attended Canyon Crest Academy in San Diego, there she joined their Envision Visual Arts program where she also studied, figure, portraiture, illustration, and designed murals. She is currently a freshman and a Studio Art major at San Francisco State University.

These paintings were done in November of 2014 in tribute to the annual event of No Shave November or Movember. The goal of No Shave November is to raise awareness and educate about cancer prevention. By embracing our hair we stand up for those fighting the battle.

The different poses express the model’s journey of being comfortable in her own skin. In the first frame she is shy and a little hesitant about her poses. Then she slowly starts to step out of her comfort zone until finally she realizes how beautiful the human body can be.
